In this video I use a beautiful gradation fabric. We learn how to cut and piece straight strips of fabric – simple enough, right? But then we splice those strips into the table runner with lovely curved lines – that’s the tricky part. Don’t worry, you may use the curve template (link below) if you are intimidated by that prospect. You may also just skip the curve and cut straight across the stripes and main fabric using a ruler.
This project is not for a beginner at sewing but if you are moderately experienced at sewing or quilting you may jump right in. This is totally created using a domestic machine from start to finish. No longarm machine is involved. The final product has a lot of movement and will add a dramatic touch to your table or side board. Be brave and jump right in!
